    Still Me, Just… More Aware

Revisiting my personality test, and what it quietly revealed Lately, I found myself revisiting my 16 personality test from a couple of years ago — wondering if I’ve changed, or if I’m still the same person I used to be. I think a part of me expected a different answer.Something new. Something that would reflect… Continue reading

    Being Reachable Isn’t Being Available

If there’s one thing I feel most people don’t fully understand today, it’s this:being reachable doesn’t mean being available. In this day and age, everything is instant. A message, a text, a WhatsApp – and suddenly, there’s an expectation that the person on the other end should reply just as quickly. But that isn’t always… Continue reading

    Faster, but not always better.

When I think about how technology has changed my job, I realise it hasn’t really changed what I do – but it has definitely changed how things work. At its core, as a wedding planner and event coordinator, my work is still about people, coordination, and making sure everything comes together smoothly. It’s about understanding… Continue reading

    Planning Life. (Or Not)

“Where do you see yourself in five years?” – My hiring manager. LOL It sounds like a simple question, but it has always felt strangely heavy to me. Maybe it made more sense in a different time — when life moved a little slower and the path ahead seemed more predictable. But in the world… Continue reading

If My Life Were a Story

“Some stories begin with a loud moment; mine began quietly, in the ordinary days that slowly became my life.” – Me Some stories begin with a loud moment; mine began quietly, in the ordinary days that slowly became my life. If I were to write my autobiography, I don’t think it would begin with a… Continue reading

About Me

Hi, I’m Rosanne.

I started this space as somewhere to write things down before they faded – moments from travel, weddings, family, grief, work and the quieter parts of everyday life.

What began as occasional reflections slowly became a collection of memories I wanted to keep properly.

Ashes in the Light is part diary, part memory keeping — written slowly somewhere between growing up and slowing down.
