It’s been a while since I last updated this space – things have been a little busier lately with back-to-back projects. But I finally found a moment to sit down and write about one that I really enjoyed working on: an artificial plant installation at Jewel Changi Airport, for Monarch Milkweed Gelato.
This installation was a little different from my usual floral setups – it involved bringing a touch of green into a modern retail space. The concept was to create something that felt fresh, natural, and inviting, while staying practical for a busy environment like Jewel.
We used a mix of artificial greenery and plant textures to build the display, ensuring it still looked soft and organic even without fresh blooms. It was fun experimenting with the placement—balancing shape, height, and movement so the final look felt effortless but intentional.
I always find installations like this rewarding because they combine creativity with a bit of problem-solving. It’s not just about making something pretty—it’s about understanding the space, the lighting, and how people will interact with it. Seeing it all come together at the end, right there in one of Singapore’s most iconic spots, made the long hours worth it.

It’s moments like this that remind me how much I enjoy working with spaces—whether it’s weddings, events, or installations like this one. Each project has its own story and rhythm, and this one was definitely a refreshing change of pace.
Until the next one. 🌿
