Ashes in the Light

Words left behind in half-light

A Small Pause in the Middle of It All

In the middle of all the work lately, my husband and I decided to take a short day off and spend it at Universal Studios Singapore. The tickets were complimentary from his company, so it felt like the perfect excuse for a breather.

This time, we didn’t rush through the rides like we usually did the last time we went. You can read about my last visit to Universal Studios Singapore in July 2025 here. Instead, we took it slow—walking around, taking photos, and just enjoying the atmosphere. It was during the Halloween season, so the park was filled with themed decorations and staff dressed up in costumes, adding a fun little twist to everything.

It felt nice to just wander, laugh, and not think about timelines or deadlines for a day. We ended the afternoon a bit earlier than usual and went home for a simple home-cooked dinner, which wrapped up the day perfectly.

Sometimes it’s these quiet, easy days that remind me how important it is to pause, breathe, and enjoy the small things in between the rush.
