It’s been a busy month since the start of September! Recently worked on the décor and setup for a company’s Dinner & Dance, and the theme was such a fun one—Into the 20s, with a modern twist. Think Great Gatsby vibes, but refreshed for today. ✨
The vision was all about glamour and boldness: a little sparkle, a little drama, but still elegant enough to carry the essence of the 1920s. We played with rich colours, touches of gold, geometric accents, and hints of art deco patterns that instantly brought that Gatsby feeling to life. Paired with modern styling and lighting, it gave the whole space a contemporary lift while keeping the vintage soul intact.
There’s something really rewarding about seeing a concept come together from mood board to reality. Walking into the ballroom after setup, with the backdrop glowing and the tables dressed, felt like stepping into a little pocket of the Jazz Age.
It reminded me why I love doing décor work—taking a theme, adding details, and transforming a blank space into an atmosphere. For this event, it wasn’t just decoration; it was about creating an experience, a mood that carried through the entire evening.
