I’ll probably take awhile to completely finish sharing about this trip. This trip is very very unlike of me to do it but it happened.
I saw the window and decided to book this trip actually during the weee hours in the morning on one particular sleepless night. Lol! Yes, that was how it happened.
I booked the airticket super low at less than $200, flying on SilkAir. And got my accommodations with under $250. So yups. Work is piling as we “speak” but whatever. My phone is on airplane mode.
Like I always say.. “If you ever need me, you’ll know where to find me”.
So.. without the suspense, here’s what my trip was all about. An unchilled trip. My trips are usually free and easy, a drink by the pool or beach. But this time, I went to Kuala Lumpur.
On my arrival on Sunday night, I checked in and hunt for food. Because I came from work. I pretty much was starved.
So my first stop was to this place called.. Kim Lian Kee Hokkien Mee.
This place has the most famous Hokkien Mee because it is stir fried with lard. Lots and lots of them are found in this plate of good stuff.
I obviously was starved. So I didnt take a proper picture. But an Instagram one should do justice.

This is located at Jalan Petaling. This place is alive during Chinese New Year and it used to be the busiest Street in the area. These days, alot of the push cart owners hire foreigners to run their push carts business while they probably get a full time job elsewhere.
After which I went exploring their night activity. Lots of touting on the streets for me to go in for a drink. Happy hour all night long. But I was already very exhausted from work and the flight. I was just wandering around before heading back.
As I was making my way back, I came upon this back alley that was refurbished to its modern age. There was slopes for skateboarding and the walls are super nice. Disregard my typo error missing an “o” there but yes, amazing.
Damn lucky for a kind soul to help me take a picture.
Then I headed back to my apartment. Which was kindly assisted during my check-in. Very interesting concept. The letterbox has a code, you head there enter the code and get your keys and you head up yourself. Security was kind to help me too.
And.. the bathroom and bedroom is super amazing.

A bathtub with tv, chandelier that is so mesmerising that I slept so well. 🙂
I kid. I was tired. Lol
