Ashes in the Light

When I first started work here in this new place, I had my orientation done with a girl who also joined. But she joined 2days before me.

Well, we didn’t really click right away partly because I am who I am. I will observe before I make my move. But she was all enthusiastic in trying to befriend me. We went from department to department for orientation followed by lunch together and she said to have lunch together.

I don’t mind eating alone because I could do things independently. Watching movie alone so let alone eating alone right.

So anyway, came this girl who has a really sweet boyfriend who would prepare breakfast. And we get a share and only until recently she would sure prepare for me before the group expanded to my lunch buddy and another girl. She has recently moved to another department and there goes our breakfast.

But my buddy and I decided that maybe every Monday’s breakfast we could take turn to prepare. Sounds good. At least Monday is settled.

It started off last week after I visited my Friend and decided to prepare breakfast since I am getting stuff from the supermarket.

This was what we had last Monday.

So the bottom greens were a mixture of greens and my favourite wild rockets. There’s also shredded carrots and cucumber.

Of course, I Sautéed my Mushrooms and left to cool before I packed it in. Then the eggs and shaved hams were added.

And this was this morning’s.

The greens were the same. Mixed greens and shredded carrots. Then Japanese cucumber were sliced followed by onions for some anti-oxidant.

If you see how much rice my lunch buddy eats, you will drop your jaw. So I kinda knew last week was too little for her and this week, I added some pasta as the carbs for her.

So there were prawns and shredded crabsticks.

And guess what, she finished but is never enough. Hahaha! And we went for lunch around 12:30pm. Not late lunch but pretty early if you asked me given that I sometimes missed lunch.

But yups. My lunch buddy’s breakfast! 🙂
